Matrix Law Group was founded by a social entrepreneur and former City lawyer. After training in Cambridge and spending over 5 years working for domestic and international corporations including oil and gas and FTSE 100 companies in London and New York, Patrick decided to set up Matrix Law Group to help small and medium sized businesses, start ups and entrepreneurs. Patrick manages the business but is still a member of the Law Society of England and Wales.
Matrix Law Group connects businesses and entrepreneurs with world class lawyers directly so lawyers answer and work directly for the business and not for a law firm. This saves the business money, time and allows them to build long term, trusted and sustainable relationships with their lawyers who they can hire on a short, medium or long term basis – full or part time.
By improving access to high quality and affordable legal services, we create a more level playing field in the market and help entrepreneurs of the future. We invest in long term relationships with small innovative businesses and start ups and help them thrive.
Our concept was also created for a challenging and more satisfying experience in legal practice. Happy and healthy lawyers are better lawyers and altogether better people.
We work tirelessly to promote efficient working practices, encourage innovation and promote the sensible use of technology by businesses and in the practice of law. The lawyers we place with businesses work remotely and independently at vastly reduced rates when compared to what law firms would charge for their services. Liberated from the unnecessary overhead and inefficiency one typically associates with BigLaw, your lawyer will not work out of an expensive office, they will work at your offices or remotely from home. All our savings are passed onto you.
2. Mobile Virtual Law Office Technology
We have heavily invested in state of the art Mobile Virtual Law Office Technology which allows us to work more efficiently from secure satellite offices or from your own office.
As a Matrix Law client, you’ll have secure online access to all your files, correspondence and information. Conversely, if your in-house lawyer is working remotely, they can respond instantly to all your demands from anywhere in the world.
3. Business and People First, Law Second
We start with understanding your business and your goals. We like to get to know you in relaxed and informal surroundings and then we help you achieve your goals.
4. No Long Term Commitments
Your lawyer will work for you on a temporary or on demand basis. You will have exclusive control over your in-house lawyer’s time for all or part of the working week and with no commitment to keep them.
5. Fixed Fee Pricing
Hourly billing rewards lawyers for being inefficient and breeds mistrust. Your lawyer will work on a fixed fee and will give it to you upfront.
6. Less is More
Your in-house lawyer will charge you less and prioritise your long-term growth over their short-term profit so you invite them back.
